Team 1 Project 3 - Calvin & Jo Sharpe
The Sharpe's home was one of the most difficult we had to deal with on this trip.  The 30-foot sea-surge had pretty much decimated the home and it's contents, and the Sharpes, who had recently received a FEMA trailer in front of the home, had a pretty difficult time in dealing with the situation.  It brought us great joy, at the end of the project, to have Jo walk through the home and see hope in her eyes for future restoration of her home & life.  Jamie was particularly touched by her interaction with Jo's daughter, Anna, which you can read about in the "Articles" area of this site.

The garbage pile is almost as big as the house!  And this is after the 2nd pickup. But these are earthly things.  And we ALL know it.
The "Tree of Life".  Had been blown down by Katrina.  We stood her back up and gave her a chance for the future.  And nicknamed her the "Tree of Life'.
