Team 1 Project 2 - Karen's Mom's Home
While we never met "Mom", her daughter Karen did a wonderful job of directing us in cleaning up what needed to be done,  Brad's team had the pleasure of only a "light-mold" environment, with odors within reason.  This home had been flooded only up to about the three-foot mark, and only for a few hours.  A few trees to cut up, and a pool to haul to the road rounded out our duties.  One of our precious moments was when we found a 120+ year-old family Bible in the bottom drawer of a dresser, that while soggy, was restorable. This made Karen very happy!  Karen and family experienced much during Katrina, witnessed by the weapons and MRE's we found.
